The wealthy Munich entrepreneur Max Kustermann once had an extensive and representative English-style park created around his villa in Tutzing. Where once only the entrepreneurial family and their guests strolled, today everyone can relax. The municipality of Tutzing acquired the listed villa including 68,000 sqm of parking space in 1972.
The park, completely overgrown, was reconstructed to preserve its uniqueness. Today, the park invites active relaxation with green spaces, seating, a multigenerational playground and a beach volleyball court. An Alpinum rounds off the park and opens up the transition to St. John’s Hill.
