Kampberg

Kampberg

Kampberg lies at an altitude of 611 meters above sea level. In recent years, this idyllic place has revived a special tradition that delights both locals and visitors: community bread baking. In 2013, local resident Deimel Sepp built his own bread bakery in Kampberg together with craftsmen from the citizens’ regulars’ table. This project has become a popular meeting place for the community. Once a month, 15 to 20 baking enthusiasts come together to bake bread. This activity not only has a practical benefit, but also promotes cohesion and tradition in the village.

The religious significance of Kampberg is reflected in the Mother of God Chapel: After two successful missions with a chapel wagon and tent of the “Traveling Church”, which were carried out by Franciscans from Würzburg, the desire for a permanent chapel in Kampberg arose. This led to the construction of the Mother of God Chapel
